Search for any researcher to map their collaboration network
Search by name or paste an ORCID · Select multiple profiles to merge fragmented recordsHover each node for technical detail.
Notes/Caveats/Disclaimer: Results depend on what Semantic Scholar has indexed, so papers that aren't in their database won't appear here. The deduplication step catches most duplicates, but it can miss some, especially for authors with inconsistent name formatting. Articles with incomplete metadata and grey literature are excluded by design.
Rationale: Themes are inferred from co-authorship communities and paper metadata, not hand-curated disciplines. Single-paper clusters are hidden from the main chips because they usually describe isolated papers rather than a stable research area; method-like labels are separated so topic and technique do not blur together.
Data sources: Co-authorship edges and author metadata from the same Semantic Scholar paper pull that powers the rest of this dashboard. Cluster colors use Louvain community detection on that graph in the browser; one-paper clusters are hidden from top-level theme chips because they usually describe isolated papers rather than durable research areas. The collaborator table uses an author-count-normalized score so recurring close collaborators are not drowned out by one giant team paper. Paper view lays publications on a horizontal year axis with one row per theme so you can read trends without the old paper–author starburst.
Rows are sorted by a normalized collaboration score: each shared paper contributes less when it has many non-profile coauthors. Roles translate graph evidence into readable labels; hover a row to see the raw degree, betweenness, clustering, score, and theme evidence behind the label.
| NameCollaborator name ↕ | CommunityLouvain collaboration community assigned from this scholar's co-authorship network; this is not an institution or era. ↕ | RoleReadable role derived from repeated collaboration, recency, and network bridging evidence. ↕ | PapersJoint publications with the profile scholar in the current filtered slice ↕ | SpanFirst–last year of a joint paper; sorts by most recent year ↕ | Top shared themeMost common inferred theme among shared papers in the current filtered slice. ↕ | Collab scoreShared-paper score downweighted by author-list size so one giant team paper does not dominate recurring collaboration. ↓ |

Data sources: Rows are the same Semantic Scholar papers as the profile fetch. The Themes column follows the Research Themes logic (Louvain clusters with Semantic Scholar fields as fallback), as noted in that section’s info panel.
